What they'll need

  • A laptop, tablet or phone
  • A pencil and some scrap paper
  • No calculator

While they do it

  • Let them work on their own. Helping, even a little, hides exactly what we're looking for.
  • Some questions are Year 7 maths, so it's fine if they haven't learned them yet.
  • If they don't know, they can choose "I'm not sure yet". That tells us more than a guess.
